The hill has been gritted tonight but it was a close thing. Our drivers were busy/ unavailable and it was only down to Jarrod being prepared to break off what he was doing that it was done. An example of why we need more drivers! So, grateful thanks to Jarrod and also to Andy who joined the team for the first time. Anne

Grateful thanks to Matt and David for going out tonight to grit the hill. As they had a bit left over they used it to ensure access to the Bridford Inn…… Anne

No notification but I’ve just spotted a DCC Gritter doing the hill. I’m guessing he went as far as the phone box. Anne

Jarrod and Mick have just been out to try and get the grit down before the promised snow. However, I’ve just received a “Don’t travel unless your journey is really necessary“ from the Police Alert Service. Highways are doing the Primary Routes at least four times, no indication as to whether they’re proposing to do any Secondary Routes. Anne
