Gritting Update – Tues 5 March
Temperature dropping this evening and the road is damp so Andy H and a mystery AN Other have been out to grit. Our grateful thanks to them for that. We did struggle with availability tonight – we can’t always assume that people are available. Any extra hands would be welcome, please let the Clerk know of you could help. Fortunately temps rise again tomorrow morning and look that way for a while. Anne
Low Pressure/No Water
South West Water are looking at an issue with low water pressure/no water in the village. It’s been logged with them as an urgent issue, and one of the vans has been seen in the village.

Temperature dropping this evening and the road is damp so Andy B and Andy H have been out to grit again. Our thanks to them for that and also moving the new delivery under cover, it’s essential that we keep it dry. Fortunately temps rise again tomorrow morning and look that way for a while. Anne

Another night of below zero temperatures with tomorrow morning looking very cold. Tonight our grateful thanks go to James and David, going out in the dark after work to grit the hill for us. Hopefully a bit of a break now! Anne

Gritting Update – Wed 17 Jan
Forecast for pretty low temperatures tonight and first thing tomorrow morning. Our very grateful thanks go to the two Andy’s who’ve been out to treat the hill. Still best to be cautious, you may have seen that the B3212 has been closed all day at Farrant’s Hill due to ice and that’s on the Primary Gritting Route so would have been treated. Anne

Another cold and icy night and yet again the volunteer Snow Team has been out to grit the hill, trying to keep us all safe while using it. This time our thanks go to Dom and Matt who went out after work to do it. Anne Mayes
