The Bridford Fete – July 2024
Despite the threat of rain we were once again able to stage our village fete in the Woodland Park. This beautiful conservation area has a large arena to accommodate our games, stalls and exhibits alongside a sheltered area from which teas and glorious cakes are served.
The aim, as ever, is to provide the best fun day especially for children. Once again Kia from Circus Antics demonstrated circus skills and this year we introduced a dedicated children’s zone, with free drinks, in the prizes and face painting tent. Our new home-made stall offering beautiful craft items, organic veg, cake, preserves, all made and donated by the community, was a huge success.
Exhibits included ‘Sisterwood’, Dartmoor National Park and The Two Moors Pine Martens Project and we were also treated to a Tai Chi demonstration.
It was a marvellous turn out so very many thanks to everyone who came. As result of your generosity, we have been able to donate over £1,000 to our local community.
