This will be operated by Your Cabs. Passengers need to book in advance to use this service by calling Your Cabs on 07554 411511.

Pound Lane road closure 20th October 2025
Devon County Council (DCC) Highways are due to carry out some scheduled maintenance work at the bottom of Pound Lane which will require the closure of the bottom part of the road closest to the B3193 from 20th October 2025 for three days. See One network for further details: Causeway one.network
We have also been in touch with DCC Highways regarding further work needed to repair the surface in the first 20 metres of Pound Lane from the B3193 where a gully has formed in the road due to running water degrading the road surface and this is proving a risk to safety particularly for cyclists and motorcycles. In the winter, the water will freeze over so that the entire section is icy and dangerous for all vehicles to pass.
If the spring plate that used to control the flow of water at the side of the road is to be replaced and the gully improved to redirect the water, it is likely that the road would need to be closed for a week. We have requested that this take place during school holidays if possible to minimise disruption. DCC Highways are currently assessing the situation and will update us shortly. We will post a further update here in due course.
